About RBA

The RBA Directorate has been formed to monitor and ensure compliance of regulatory and other activities related to the Regional Councils, Branches of Regional Councils, Students' Associations, and their Branches, in accordance with the provisions of the Chartered Accountants Act, 1949, the Chartered Accountants Regulations, 1988, and the directions and guidelines issued from time to time by the Council, Executive Committee, and Management Committee of ICAI.

In addition to its other Terms of Reference (ToR), the Directorate is entrusted with the administration of the Annual Awards Programme, which includes the evaluation and conferment of Awards to the Best Regional Councils, Best Branches of Regional Councils, Best Students' Associations, and their Best Branches, based on the performance criteria prescribed for these Awards.
